How Trottera works
From registration to the horse arriving in your yard.
Register and verify
Create an account and verify your identity once. Everyone who bids or sells is verified, so you always know who you deal with.
Study the dossier
Photos, pedigree, race record and, for starters and coldbloods, a recent veterinary report. Ask the seller a question or request a viewing.
Bid all week
Every horse starts at € 1,000 without a reserve. On Sunday evening the horses close one by one; every bid on the live lot resets its 2-minute timer.
Pay and collect
Pay through Trottera within 5 days, collect the horse within 10 days. The seller is paid 7 days after your payment.
Nobody bids or sells before their identity is verified. Bidders stay anonymous towards each other.
The buyer pays Trottera, Trottera pays the seller after handover. No cash, no chasing invoices.
€ 75 to list a horse, 2.25% for the seller and 2.25% for the buyer, plus € 10 transaction costs. Prices are shown ex VAT.

Sell your horse to buyers across Europe
Register the horse in two minutes and it is online right away. Complete the dossier before Thursday 12:00 and it closes on Sunday evening. Listing fee € 75, no reserve, opening bid € 1,000.
Next closing sessions
Bidding is open all week. Every Sunday from 19:00 the horses close one by one, up to 60 per week.
