How it works

A weekly online auction for trotting horses, run from the Netherlands, open to all of Europe.

Create an account and verify your identity once. Everyone who bids or sells is verified, so you always know who you deal with.

Photos, pedigree, race record and, for starters and coldbloods, a recent veterinary report. Ask the seller a question or request a viewing.

Every horse starts at € 1,000 without a reserve. On Sunday evening the horses close one by one; every bid on the live lot resets its 2-minute timer.

Pay through Trottera within 5 days, collect the horse within 10 days. The seller is paid 7 days after your payment.

Bid steps: € 150 up to € 5,000, € 400 up to € 10,000, € 750 above.

Fees

All amounts ex VAT. VAT is added to Trottera's fees and costs where it applies. See the fees page for worked examples.

Listing fee per horse: deducted from the payout when sold, invoiced when bought back, not sold or withdrawn	€ 75
